About the event

aLife's Marriage 101  is specially tailored to help couples build a good foundation in their marriages as well as prepare couples for real life. Topics covered include:

  • Family of Origin
  • Self-Knowledge and Building on Couples' strengths
  • Communication Skills
  • Conflict Management
  • Sexual Intimacy and Fertility
  • Financial Planning
  • In-laws Relationship

Sessions are conducted in a group setting where couples are guided by very experienced professionals. Couples are given personal time to discuss practical issues and consider possible pitfalls that dot the marital landscape particularly in the early years of marriage. Marriage 101 is designed to encompass all contemporary concerns to help you and your partner understand your vulnerabilities, your needs and expectations. Investing in your marriage preparation, together with your commitment to each other will help you to build a lifelong and life-giving marriage.

Marriage 101 Programme is held over 2 days:

In-person at aLife Centre (Blk 308 Shunfu Road #01-165):

Sat, 13 Aug 2022 from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 2.30 to 4.30 pm

Online via Zoom:

Sat, 20 Aug 2022  from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The Marriage 101 can only take in a maximim limit of 15 couples. Registration on a first-come, first serve basis will close once the limit is reached.

Cost per couple (1 ticket): $150 (before rebate). Couples* attending Marriage 101, which is endorsed by MSF, for the first time are entitled to a $70 rebate from MSF upon completion of the programme. 

*Either one of the spouses must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

The Marriage 101 programme is not applicable for Singapore Citizen – Non-Resident (SC-NR) couples seeking to apply for LTVP at ICA. Please refer to MSF website for Marriage Programmes for SC-NR couples.
