Balancing Work and Family Life

Family Working Together

Returning to work as a mum can feel overwhelming, but finding balance is possible. Start by exploring any family-friendly policies your workplace offers—your HR team or supervisor can help. Even if your hours can’t change, small adjustments to your work habits, routines, and expectations can make a meaningful difference. Think of possible ways you can find balance between work and family life.

With planning, flexibility, and support, you can care for your family while easing back into work with confidence.

Managing Parental Stress

Managing parental stress involves prioritizing self-care (sleep, exercise, hobbies),

building a strong support system (partner, friends, groups), creating structure (routines, planning),

adjusting expectations (perfection isn't required), and using mindfulness (deep breaths, pausing)

to stay calm and present, allowing you to handle challenges effectively and prevent burnout.
