Through its effort, aLife hopes that more men and women will adopt a more positive attitude towards family life aLife supports the Singapore government's effort to develop healthy and happy families.

Education directed to the public regarding their attitude toward pregnancies is also an important goal for the organization. A more informed public can help to create a socially sensitive population to the "truth about abortion" (Ministry of Health, Health Promotion Board, March 2002)

ALIFE was formed by a group of professionals who want to nurture a healthy respect for fertility and family life. Founding member Dr Peter Chew, Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist, is the Chairman of the Board. Other Board members include doctors, lawyers, businessmen and professional therapists. ALIFE's free clinic is currently manned by a group of full-time and volunteer staff in providing operational and administrative assistance.

aLife collaborates closely with the South West Community Development Council and family support service centres like Fei Yue, Shan You and Loving Heart, Family Life Society and Rose Villa.
